OpenAI debuts GPT-4o ‘omni’ model now powering ChatGPT 🧠
OpenAI is launching GPT-4o, an iteration of the GPT-4 model that powers its hallmark product, ChatGPT. The updated model “is much faster” and improves “capabilities across text, vision, and audio,” OpenAI CTO Mira Murati said in a livestream announcement on Monday. It’ll be free for all users, and paid users will continue to “have up to five times the capacity limits” of free users, Murati added.
In a blog post from the company, OpenAI says GPT-4o’s capabilities “will be rolled out iteratively,” but its text and image capabilities will start to roll out today in ChatGPT.

The best format for prompt engineering - written by Singapore’s national prompt engineering champion 🤝
Just read this article from Sheila Teo, who won Singapore’s first ever GPT-4 Prompt Engineering competition (organised by the govt), bringing together 400+ participants.
She tries to steer away from the typical prompt engineering techniques to bring fresh insights. Very worth reading.
High Level Learnings
Structure prompts using the co-star framework
Section prompts with delimiters like # to help the LLM distinguish single units of meaning
Use delimiters as XML tags
Use system prompts or ‘custom instructions’ such as those in a GPT to remember instructions when responding through an entire chat
LLM data analysis is fantastic at analysing patterns and trends, use them to detect anomalies, cluster items, cross column relationships, detect trends and analyse text - they will perform poorly otherwise

Creating a GPT and automating tasks with Zapier
I was thinking about GPT’s this morning and how useful they are when embedded in your workflows. Thought I’d share the below.
➡️ Build your first GPT (With Logan Kilpatrick - from OpenAI)
🕐️ Quick guide to building your first GPT (From OpenAI)
⚡️ Connecting GPT’s with Zapier
So what could your first GPT be?
A GPT trained on your companies marketing data to write you new landing page copy
A GPT trained on the public customer feedback of your competitors to pull out gaps and opportunities
Create yourself a personal exec coach (embedded with books from your favourite self-help thought leaders)
Create takeaways and actionable steps from survey results - with a follow up report
A GPT trained on your niche to identify content gaps on your website compared to competitors
Create a GPT (that has all the information needed embedded in it) to help a new employee set up a SEO campaign
Generates content tailored to local search trends and keywords for businesses looking to improve local SEO
A GPT that creates descriptive, keyword-rich alt text for images, improving web accessibility and SEO (just add in the image)
A GPT that crafts personalised outreach emails for backlink opportunities using a database of potential link partners
