Demis Hassabis, the CEO of DeepMind, a renowned artificial intelligence (AI) lab owned by Google, made a bold prediction at a recent Wall Street Journal conference. IBM replaces nearly 8000 jobs with AI 👩‍💼

IBM has announced its plans to replace 7,800 jobs with AI technology, following in the footsteps of Dropbox, which laid off 500 employees and replaced them with AI. IBM CEO Arvind Krishna has stated that most back-office positions, such as HR and accounting, will be replaced.

He noted, “I could easily see 30% of that getting replaced by AI and automation over a five-year period.” This announcement has once again highlighted the growing impact of AI on the job market and the need for individuals to position themselves ready for the future.

Amazon's CEO intends to supercharge Alexa with AI 🚀

During Amazon's recent earnings call, CEO Andy Jassy revealed the company's plans to create a more advanced large language model (LLM) to supercharge Alexa.
